Do not be careless in handling

For the treatment of TB patients, free medicines are given through the DOT Centre. To get rid of TB disease, medicines are given regularly for 6 to 8 months. Patients are at risk of MDR type TB if they stop taking the medicine midway after taking the medicine for a few months during the treatment of the disease. It is more dangerous than ordinary TB. TB medicines have no effect in this regard. Therefore, in case of mild TB, medicines should be continued until the disease is cured.

Patients are found because the scope of the investigation has increased

Earlier, the facility for TB testing in the district was available only in the district hospital, where the tests were done through a microscope. But now the scope of the investigation has increased. TB is tested every minute through state-of-the-art machines like True Nate in 10 centers including the District Hospital, BDM and Community Health Centers of the five blocks. Because of this, patients are identified.

476 patients were adopted through Nikshay Mitra

In order to make the area TB free, the Nikshay Mitra Scheme is run by the Central Government for those patients who are unable to get treatment themselves. Under this scheme, Nikshay Mitra will cover the cost of medicines and nutrition given to the patient during the 6 months of treatment. Under this scheme, officers and public representatives adopt patients. Including the Collector and other officers and public representatives, 476 patients have been adopted. Apart from this, the government gives Rs 500 to a TB patient for treatment through DBT.
