On Wednesday morning, near the Sikandra-Shakpura NH 333A Maharath Mod highway in Jamui, the driver of a van loaded with mangoes collided with a roadside tree and died on the spot. The passenger was seriously injured in the accident. According to Sikandra and Khalas information

After the incident, a crowd of nearby villagers was gathered and information about it was given to Sikandra police station. The deceased driver has been identified as Banti Kumar, son of Sanjay Yadav, a resident of Ajibiga under Parasbiga police station area in Jehanabad. The injured passenger has been identified as Ajit Kumar, son of Santoshi Yadav.

It is said that Malda loaded mangoes from Khalgaon and is going to Jehanabad via Jamui Sikandra. Then around 4:00 am, near the Maharth turnoff, the driver dozed off and hit a tree on the side of the road. In which the driver Benti Kumar died on the spot and the co-driver Ajit Kumar was seriously injured. In this incident, the van was blown to pieces.

As soon as information about the incident was received, Sub-Inspector Umesh Prasad Singh of Sikandra Police Station reached the spot and said that he was going to Jahanabad with Mango in a van from Khalgaon in Bhagalpur district. So apparently the van driver fell asleep and the vehicle crashed into a tree on the side of the road. The driver died in this accident. while the co-driver was seriously injured.
Who was sent for treatment at Sadr Hospital. while the deceased driver is trapped inside the vehicle. which was taken out through a JCB and a cutter. The entire event was handed over to the relatives of the deceased. After the incident, the constables of the two police stations were seen arguing with each other regarding the boundary line of Sikandra and Khalsi.
