IPL 2024: Faf du Plessis ‘Looking Forward’ to Bats in Bengaluru as RCB Host PBKS Achi-News

Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Faf du Plessis said he and his team are eager to bat at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their second match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the unforgiving M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday.

RCB skipper Faf du Plessis, on the latest episode of Game Day, said that he and his side were keen to perform well.

“Obviously the first game was in the Chennai, and there was a big crowd from Chennai. Looking forward to batting here again, it’s a great place to bat and I think the boys are really keen to get started,” said Du Plessis.

Australia stalwart Cameron Green called the pitch in Bengaluru “beautiful” for batting and praised the outfield.

“It’s a beautiful batting wicket, the outfield is fast. Obviously, this will be my first experience as an RCB player and I am very excited. There’s always screaming and yelling, looking forward to it,” Green said.

Anuj Rawat said that the RCB team is looking forward to the game after being “a bit off” in the opening game of IPL 2024.

“We started a little but definitely but after we did very well as a team and we are looking forward to this game against Punjab,” said Rawat.

Rajat Patidar called for the support of Bengaluru’s “loyal fans” for the match against Punjab.

“I’m eager to play in front of loyal fans, so keep supporting and keep loving. It is a privilege that you play under the most experienced players. They have played long cricket in their country. It will be a good learning for me to play under them,” he added.

RCB suffered a six-wicket defeat at the hands of Chennai Super Kings as Punjab Kings beat Delhi Capitals by 4 wickets.
