The Indian Coast Guard has once again become a messiah and saved a fisherman’s life. The force said on Friday that they rescued a Sri Lankan national suffering from a serious heart condition in a ship about 100 nautical miles from here. The young man was immediately transported to the city for treatment.

The ICG Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) first received a distress alert from MRCC Colombo regarding the Sri Lankan Fishing Vessel (SLFV) ‘Kalpani’. He said that due to a malfunction in the engine, the ship began to drift from the shore.
