Imran Khan is looking at an alliance with JI for the mayorship of Karachi
Following the results of the second round of local government elections in Sindh, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan is mulling an alliance with Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) for the mayoralty of Karachi.
According to 24News HD TV channel, PTI Chairman Imran Khan called the Sindh regional leadership in Lahore and discussed the poor result of LG elections and alliance with JIA.
According to PTI sources, key leaders of the party, Chapter Haleem Adil Shaikh and Imran Ismail, have demanded that Imran Khan Ali Zadi step down as Sindh state president.
Party sources said that Imran Khan was angry with the PTI Sindh leadership over the local body election results.
The PTI sources also said that the option of tie-up with Jamaat-e-Islami will also be discussed in the meeting with the Sindh leadership.
