Referring to the consecration of the Ram Temple idol in Ayodhya on January 22, Shah said this year’s Holi is special for all “Ram bhakts” because the lord is celebrating the festival of colors after a gap of 500 years.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Monday celebrated Holi with party officials here. At the meeting at the BJP’s Gandhinagar Lok Sabha office, located in Thaltej district here, Shah and Patel showered colors on party leaders, including Rajya Sabha MPs. Mayant Nayak, MLA Amit Thakar, Gandhinagar Mayor Hitesh Makwana, Gujarat BJP general secretary KC Patel and others from the women’s wing.

There is an old folk song which says Holi Khele Raghuveera Avadh Mae..Now after 500 years, Raghuveer is playing Holi in Avadh. This is a source of great joy for everyone. My greetings to all the citizens on the occasion of Holi,” he said at the meeting.
Addressing party workers involved in his poll campaign, Shah, who has been renamed from Gandhinagar, asked them to “be visible” among the masses.” I just want to tell you that you are all doing a great job. But, always remember that your candidate will be less visible while you need to be more visible among the masses,” says Shah.
In 2019, Shah won from Gandhinagar constituency by more than 5 lakh votes.
