Bhopal: The death toll rises to nine in a bus accident in Madhya Pradesh’s Maihar district The three people who were rescued with injuries have also died, police said. Seven of the deceased are residents of Uttar Pradesh.

The bus is known to be moving at high speed. Rescue teams had to use gas cutters to free passengers from the wreckage. According to the police, the rescue operation ended after 2pm on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed his grief over the accident. In a post on X, he wrote, “The death of nine people is very sad. One passenger is in a critical condition. I pray to God for the speedy recovery of those who have been injured I pray to the Almighty to do so.”
