The Main Street Project is $15,000 short of the goal for its winter fundraiser.

On Monday, the organization said it was the final week of its winter fundraiser, Into the Cold. So far, he has raised over $19,000, but still needs more than $15,000 to reach his fundraising goal.

“We are extremely grateful for the community’s support of our frontline services,” said Cindy Titus, Main Street Project communications manager, in a news release.

“These funds provide basic needs, care, and emergency assistance directly to Winnipeg’s most marginalized residents. Every donation, every participant, and every message shared makes a difference.”

Into the Cold, which runs from March 1 to 31, is an activity-based fundraiser that encourages Manitobans to get outside and exercise, while also raising money. The money goes to help Main Street Project’s frontline services, including shelter, food, withdrawal management and van outreach.
