TMC MP cursed Congress
After the defeat in Haryana, TMC, its ally in the opposition alliance, criticized the Congress. Criticizing the Congress without naming him, TMC MP Saket Gokhale wrote on social media that this approach led to defeat in the elections and if we feel we are winning then we will not make an alliance with any regional party but with the states we are lagging behind, we should give space to the regional parties there . Gokhale wrote arrogance and looking down on regional parties lead to disaster. This comment by the TMC MP is seen as directly linked to the Congress. Notably, Congress’ allies in the opposition alliance, the Aam Aadmi Party and the CPI, have also criticized the Congress’s strategy of contesting elections alone in Haryana.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal, who wants to forge an alliance with the Congress in Haryana, said on Tuesday that the biggest lesson learned from the last election was that one should not be “overconfident”. CPI general secretary D Raja also said that the Congress should look inward on the Haryana election results and should take all Indian bloc allies in the upcoming elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand.
