Guwahati: Assam Cabinet Minister Jayantha Malvarua has announced that no VIP tickets are being distributed for the upcoming Ambubachi Mela.
The religious event is scheduled to begin on June 22 at the Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati.

In a meeting held on June 11 with the committee members of the Kamakhia Temple and the relevant authorities, the minister clarified that no VIP tickets will be issued throughout the event. Malabarwa emphasized that VIPs will also be required to go for darshan like the other devotees.
Speaking to GPlus, a senior official from Kamakhya Devalia said, "On June 26 and June 27, VIP or VVIP tickets will not receive hospitality. VIPs will have to join the regular queue along with ordinary people."
