GUWAHATI: A fire broke out near Kali Mandir in Pansi Bazaar on Monday, October 7, damaging property valued at ₹50,000. The incident occurred at an electrical transformer in the area, and the Panbazar Fire and Emergency Services (F&ESS) station responded to control the situation.

The fire call was received at 12:25 p.m., with the first crew arriving at the scene at 12:26 p.m. Firefighters used a combination of compressed air foam (CAF) and water from the Water Tender Pump (WTP) to extinguish the fire. The crew returned to the station at 1:25 PM after managing to get the fire under control.
A transformer, owned by Kundan Powder, was reportedly damaged with property loss estimated at ₹50,000. However, the timely intervention of F&ESS saved property worth ₹30,000.
Speaking to GPlus an official from Panbazar F&ESS said, "No injuries were reported."
