GUWAHATI: As Ambubachi Mela 2024 approaches with just two days left to begin, the Kamakhya Devalaya is gearing up to ensure the safety and security of thousands of devotees expected to attend. This year, the temple authorities took a major step by installing 300 CCTV cameras around the premises.

Speaking to GPlus, Kabindra Prasad Sharma, Doloy of Kamakhya Devalaya said, "For security purposes, this time we installed 300 closed-circuit cameras."
This year, the festival will take place between June 22 and 26, 2024.

The Ambubachi Mela, a major religious event at the historic Kamakhya Temple, will see a large influx of visitors. The installation of closed-circuit cameras is designed to improve security measures, monitor the crowd and ensure a smooth and safe experience for all participants.
