Zomato CEO took X and introduced ‘vegetarian move’ on March 19 after keeping in mind the food concerns related to its preparation and handling by vegetarian consumers.

Ever since food giant Zomato’s CEO Deepinder Goyal introduced their exclusive vegetable-only fleet on the mobile app; the Internet is flooded with memes and witty jokes. From green delivery boxes and scooters to delivery personnel wearing specific outfits based on the status of their deliveries, social media has been a treasure trove of light humour. Adding to this endless flood of memes, a user shared a photo of two individuals wearing green helmets and red bags.

In the said post, two individuals were seen wearing green helmets from the car company Zypp and carrying a red backpack while riding a motorcycle. The internet speculated the individuals to be the distribution agents of the food giant app ‘Zomato’ and compared it to Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic dialogue from the film ‘Chak De India’.

The meme was captioned, “He has a green helmet. He delivers vegetables. He has a red bag. He delivers meat. Yes, you to eggs deliver garega.”

The meme went viral in no time, garnering more than 186,000 views and over 7,000 likes. Shared on March 21, the post grabbed the attention of many, giving them a good belly laugh. Social media users couldn’t help but chime in to the comments section, swapping in some humor and praising the user for sharing such a bang on a meme.

An “Bhaiya Bhaiya meri taraf dekho bhaiya” (Then I completed the dialogue for you)”

“Boneless chicken delivers karega (He will deliver boneless chicken). It’s a vegetarian for some people,” said an account.

Comparing the scenario to the scene from the film, an individual added, “Maula mere Lele meri Jaan plays in the background moments later.”

Injecting a dose of humor and highlighting those individuals who prefer not to eat non-veg on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, a user said, “Vegless Tuesday delivery dress code.”

“Perfectly apt humor on Zomato with a pinch of South Indian chuck,” added another.

Someone said, “This one is so crazy!”

The ‘vegetarian movement’ came about after keeping in mind the food concerns related to its preparation and handling by vegetarian consumers. Basically, the pure veg mode is the option where people will only get to see food from pure vegetarian restaurants.

Meanwhile, CEO Goyal also hinted at future plans to add more specialized fleets for customers’ special needs. “For example, there’s a special cake delivery fleet that offers hydraulic balancers that prevent your cake from getting smudged during delivery,” he posted on X on March 19.
