The ever-expanding digital transformation has some groups asking the Quebec government to continue providing personal assistance to those struggling.

The Regroupement des groupes populaires en alphabétisation, along with other organisations, issued a statement asking the government to think about those who struggle with technology.

They point out that not everyone feels comfortable booking a medical appointment, changing a health insurance card, changing their address or applying for a government service online.

People who experience difficulties the most are the elderly, people with low levels of literacy, people with disabilities or disabilities and people with lower incomes.

The group, supported by the Quebec Association for the Protection of Retired Persons and Pensioners, the Common Front of People with Social Assistance and the Collective for a Quebec Without Poverty, is inviting the public to sign a statement that will be submitted to the Quebec government.
