Want to work on high technology – Ackerman

Philip Ackermann said that I can say that Germany is committed to working together with an Indian shipyard to build high-tech submarines in India and the German government wholeheartedly supports the ongoing talks. Relations will grow through defense deals and joint exercises

German Ambassador Philip Ackermann said that the German company ThyssenKrupp and Spanish companies are cooperating with MDL and Larsen & Toubro respectively for the project, whose cost is estimated at more than six billion euros. The German ambassador did not comment on the latest issue in which the German Foreign Ministry gave a statement regarding the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, which India strongly opposed as interference in its internal affairs. Ackermann said that Germany’s shift towards India and the Indo-Pacific is visible in very concrete actions. Military visits and joint exercises, possible sharing of advanced military hardware, cooperation in the cyber field and strengthening our interoperability.

Emphasis on deepening relations between India and Germany
