Fraud Case registered against Navi Mumbai Credit Society employee for theft of Rs 4.2 lakh Achi-News

Thane. The Navi Mumbai Police have registered a case against an employee of a ‘credit society’ for allegedly embezzling Rs 4.2 lakh and defrauding an investor. An officer gave this information on Sunday.

The officer said that Rameshkumar Patel (32) allegedly committed this crime between April 2002 and March 2023. Credit Society of Taloja said in its complaint that Patel collected Rs 8,83,675 from their customers but deposited only Rs 4 ,61,178 in the office, meaning that he embezzled Rs 4,22,497.

Apart from this, Patel has also been accused of collecting around Rs 60,000 from an investor for opening an account in the society and depositing money in it, the official said. (agency)
