Financial Inclusion is impossible without empowering women Achi-News

BizNet, Pakistan’s leading platform for innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship, celebrated its third successful edition at President House Islamabad in collaboration with Women Business Network. BizNet brought together a diverse range of industry leaders, policy makers, and startup founders to promote financial inclusion and technological advancements. The theme was “Embracing Financial Inclusion and Business Transformation.”

Iftikhar Hussain, CEO of Transforming Hub and Founder, Women Business Network, expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders for their unwavering support, which has been key to BizNet’s journey to its third successful edition. He highlighted the roles of banks and Fintech in fostering innovation, entrepreneurship and economic growth in Pakistan. He emphasized that financial inclusion is impossible without women joining the workforce in Pakistan. Banks should take initiatives that welcome women to do business.

He praised the Chief Guest, the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi State Bank of Pakistan for its efforts to promote financial inclusion, noting that despite the progress, there is still a long way to go, especially in our region. CEO of Transforming Hub praised Iftikhar Hussain for his firm commitment to inclusion, recognizing the central role that individuals like him play in driving positive social change.

The President Dr. Arif Alvi also addresses the worrying issue of education for street children, highlighting that 44% of Pakistani children are currently not receiving an education. He emphasized the need for us to take proactive steps to address this critical issue.

Muzzaffar Piracha, Group CEO of Airlink Communications Ltd., emphasized the role of technology in promoting financial inclusion. He highlighted the importance of leveraging technology to reach underserved communities and give them access to financial services.

Aamer Ejaz, Jazz’s Chief Digital Officer, underlined the future of financial inclusion, stressing that it is not just a trend but a necessity for sustainable economic growth. He highlighted Jazz’s commitment to leveraging digital technology to improve financial inclusion and empower individuals across Pakistan.
