Even after 25 hours electricity could not be fully restored in the country – Pakistan
Even after 25 hours, electricity has not been fully restored in the country, the officials said that power has been restored in Rawalpindi and Islamabad after the power outage across the country.
Power restoration work has been started at various Lesco grid stations while power supply has been restored at Shekupura grid stations.
Although electricity supply has resumed in various parts of Karachi, many areas are still in darkness.
With the restoration of 220 KV power by NTDC, power supply was restored at Ghazi Road, New Kot Lakhpat and Old Kot Lakhpat.
After electricity was restored in several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, it was cut off again.
In Peshawar, there is power outage in residential areas near Shami Road, Sadar.
Pisco officials had given a power restoration time of 11:00 p.m., but still power has not been restored anywhere.
According to Lesco sources, supply of 132 kV grid stations is to be started in a phased manner.
Sources said that electricity supply has started to increase production in various areas.
Furnace oil, gas, water fired power plants continue to generate power slowly, coal and nuclear power plants may take another 2-3 days to recover.
