In many cases the entire criminal gang was involved. Maximum arrests were made in 3 cases.
1. Nawada Cyber Police Station busted a gang that cheated customers by calling them and luring them with discounts for making online payment by ordering goods from Flipkart. A total of 10 criminals involved in this gang were arrested.
2. Patna Cyber Police Station has exposed a fake call center which is being run to steal money from bank accounts by luring money in the name of online shopping and uploading Any Desk app on Aadhaar and mobile. A total of 9 girls involved in this were arrested.
3. The Economic Offenses Unit exposed a fraud gang that uses similar customer service numbers of different companies and banks. 4 criminals involved in this gang were arrested. A total of 570 complaints are registered against this gang in the cyber portal. They include only 70 complaints from the state of Bihar.
