TDP has promised to provide quality liquor at lower prices if TDP comes to power in Andhra Pradesh. TDP chief and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu made the promise at a recent rally in Kuppam, where he will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Chandrababu Naidu promises the people of the state
I will fulfill my promise to you after 40 days of formation of TDP led government in the state. Chandrababu Naidu said, “We will take responsibility not only of high quality liquor but also reduce the prices.”
Chandrababu Naidu Tong to CM Jagan Mohan Reddy
In his speech at Kuppam, Chandrababu Naidu mentioned that reducing the price of liquor is the call of “our younger brothers”. The prices of everything, including the prices of liquor, have gone up drastically, said CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief and actor Pawan Kalyan, an ally of the TDP in the NDA for the Lok Sabha elections, also came out against the government. He claimed that if people continue to drink liquor supplied by the YSR Congress Party, people will fall ill.
24,000 crore collection through excise revenue
The YSR Congress Party government in Andhra Pradesh is said to have collected about Rs 24,000 crore through excise revenue in 2022-23, up from Rs 17,000 crore in 2019-20. Notably, liquor is sold through government-owned outlets in Andhra Pradesh.
