The issue of infiltration is a hot topic in Jharkhand. Not only has there been rhetoric about this at the political level, the High Court is also hearing this matter. Now ED has also got involved in this matter.

.

He will be investigated by ED on suspicion of money laundering in the trafficking of Bangladeshi women and suspected infiltration. Regarding this, ED has also registered a case under PMLA. ED has based this on an FIR lodged by the Jharkhand government.

How did ED get involved in the case? In fact, many cases of prostitution through Bangladeshi women have come to the notice of the Jharkhand Police. One such case is the Bariatu police station area in the capital Ranchi. The police had arrested three Bangladeshi women suspected to be from Bangladesh from Bali Resort on Hill View Road in the area in June.

The three arrested girls were identified as Nimpi Birua, Samreen Akhtar and Nipa Akhtar, residents of Chattogram, Bangladesh. The three girls had told the police that they had come to Kolkata with the help of another girl named Manisha Rai. From where she had come to Ranchi. She was told to get a job in a beauty salon, but here she was forced to prostitute herself.

Now knowing the FIR on the basis of which ED became active. Based on information received from the arrested Bangladeshi women, the police have registered an FIR (number 188/2024) on June 4 at the Bariatu police station. This case was registered at Bariatu police station in Ranchi under sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 34 of IPC 1860, section 12 of Passport Act 1967, section 14-A of Aliens Act 1946.

ED registered a case under PMLA looking into possible trafficking of Bangladeshi women, infiltration and money laundering through it. Now ED will look into this.

ED also considers it a serious matter According to the FIR lodged, the arrested Bangladeshi women were provided fake documents to establish Indian citizenship. According to ED, many people are involved in legal activities related to illegal infiltration and making false identity proofs.

In such a situation, there is a need to investigate the illegal infiltration of such people from Bangladesh into India and the agents who promote such activities, aimed at making black money and carrying out other criminal activities . For this a comprehensive investigation is required.

A case is also going on in the Jharkhand High Court A hearing is also going on in the Jharkhand High Court regarding the arrival and settlement of Bangladeshis in Jharkhand and the resulting demographic change here. During the hearing held on September 12, the Central Government told the court that the tribal population in Santhal Pargana of Jharkhand has decreased by 16 percent. Their number has fallen from 44 per cent to 28 per cent.

Public interest litigation has been filed on behalf of Daniel Danish regarding this matter. In this petition it was said that Bangladeshi infiltrators are coming to six Santhal districts. Because of this, the population of the areas has started to change.
