In fear of an earthquake in Himachal, Kashmir, ordinary people took to the streets. The tremor was also felt in Manali, which is 100 km away from Chamba.

Panic was mounting after the earthquake in Taiwan, China. The China Earthquake Network Center (CENC) reported that a magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Mangaya City in northwest China’s Qinghai Province at 8:39 a.m. local time on Thursday. The depth of the tremor was 10 km. The epicenter was located at 38.39 degrees north latitude and 90.93 degrees east longitude, according to earthquake monitoring reports. No injuries have been reported so far in this incident.

Incidentally, Taiwan was rocked by a strong earthquake early Wednesday morning. The earthquake was also felt in China, Japan, and the neighboring Philippines. At least 9 people died in the earthquake in Taiwan. The number of those injured has been more than a thousand. Extensive damage was done across the island nation. It is said that at least a hundred houses have been destroyed. A tsunami warning was also issued in Japan-Philippines due to the earthquake. But the tsunami didn’t hit until the end.
