Bhaskar Itkhori News: Under the aegis of Chatra Indian Red Cross Society, a blood donation camp was organized at Bhadrakali College, Itkhori on Monday. A total of 21 students including the principal of the college and staff donated blood in the organized camp. The camp was inaugurated by the college principal Dr Dular Hazam by donating blood. After this, the student Rani donated blood and made other students of the college aware of blood donation. He said I was donating blood for the first time. At first I felt scared, but after donating blood the delay went away. He said we have to give blood. Since the blood we donate saves someone’s life then we have to save them. The Secretary of the Red Cross, Dharmendra Pathak, who was present on the occasion, told the students who refrain from donating blood that the lifespan of the red blood cells present in our body is only 120 days. After this it is automatically destroyed. If the human body’s blood had not been destroyed automatically, hundreds of liters of blood would have accumulated in a person’s body. He also said that when we donate blood to someone, we also get relief from diseases like blood pressure, cholesterol, sugar and heart attack. In such a situation, he said this is why it was said that donating blood is a great gift, there is no greater gift than this. After the blood donation camp ended, the Secretary expressed his gratitude to the Principal of the college along with all the employees and blood donors who donated blood.
