DM Tushar Singla inspected Ratgaon Panchayat located in Teghra block, which was affected due to rising water level in river Ganga, in the late evening today. DTO, Teghra SDO, Senior Deputy Collector, BDO, CO, Assistant Disaster Management Officer and local public along with DM were present during the inspection.

During this, the DM inspected the affected Bhagwanpur Chakki area No. 13 and 14 of Ratgaon Panchayat. Along with this, he also took stock of the entire community kitchen arrangement being run in the panchayat. It was reported that 5 community kitchens are currently being operated in Tegra. where about two thousand people eat food every day.
The DM directed the sub-commissioned officer, block level officer and other concerned officials to be present in the affected area and keep monitoring the situation. DM said that so far more than 200 plastic sheets have been distributed among the villagers in Ratgaon Panchayat. Boats are also running smoothly for the affected people.
