SRINAGAR: To commemorate the World Health Day, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar joined hands with the Department of Health and Social Welfare to organize a transformative Free Medical Camp at the Day Care and Recreation Center for the Elderly (Ahat ). -e-Waqar), Chanpora.
This event, held under the leadership of Chairman (PDJ) DLSA, Srinagar, Jawad Ahmed epitomized collaborative efforts towards holistic healthcare accessibility.
The said program was attended by Secretary DLSA, Srinagar, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, South, Srinagar, Geriatric Specialist, Incharge Ahata Waqar / Physiotherapist, Chairman Senior Citizens Counsel, Ahata Waqar Members, Asha Workers in Health Department, para-legal volunteers of DLSA, Srinagar and frontline workers of the Department of Social Welfare, Srinagar, Social Workers of the Department of Social Welfare, as well as members and volunteers of Hope Organisation.
The program began with a serene atmosphere as Javaid Ahmad Beigh recited the Holy Quran followed by a soulful Naat-e-Kalam by Khazir Mohammad, both respected members of Ahat-e-Waqar, setting a tone of harmony and compassion .
Throughout the day attendees received detailed and informative presentations from resource persons. Laila Sultana captivated the audience with insights into preventative health care practices.
In addition, medical examinations and distribution of essential medicines were carried out with precision and care by doctors, ensuring that each attendee received personal attention.
The speakers highlighted the vital need for such community initiatives. They emphasized the joint responsibility to ensure that marginalized populations receive adequate health care services and confirmed their commitment to promoting such noble causes.
