Islamabad (Rizwan Abbasi) Pakistan’s high-level delegation has arrived in occupied Kashmir to review controversial Indian water projects.

The delegation from Pakistan has made this visit after years to settle the Indus Water Treaty disputes The delegation is led by Secretary Water Resources Murtaza Ali Shah.

The delegation includes Indus Water Commissioner, NESPAK, WAPDA and legal authorities.

The delegation will visit several controversial water projects in Occupied Kashmir.

A delegation of Pakistani experts visited Kishtwar region in Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistani delegation inspected the power projects in Jammu and Kashmir under the Indus Water Treaty, to which it has objections.

Pakistan has some technical objections regarding an Indian project to be built on the Kishan Ganga (Neelum River) and the Ratle projects, for which the visit was held and has asked the World Bank for its settlement by ‘impartial experts’.
