First of all, ‘Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan 2024’ was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the DM. Along with the swearing-in ceremony, the district officer also announced the slogan of Swachhta Hai Swah People and Swachhta Abhiyan, “Cleanliness and Creator-Enriched Samastipur” to the people.
The Deputy Commissioner for Development gave detailed information about the program while giving the welcome address. He said that this campaign will continue from today till October 2. This will require coordination of all the major departments of the district. In addition, the Deputy Development Commissioner suggested all the concerned departments to utilize their manpower for the successful implementation of the campaign.

While expressing gratitude, the Municipal Commissioner informed everyone about the ongoing activities of the Municipal Corporation, Samastipur as part of this campaign. During the programme, the district officer also administered the cleanliness oath to everyone. On this occasion, symbolic house entry keys were given to 12 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana by the District Officer. Approval letters of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana have also been issued to 12 beneficiaries. On this occasion, as part of the “One Tree Named Mother” campaign, saplings were also planted in the collector’s area by the district justice of the peace and other factors at the district level.
Similarly, to spread publicity related to cleanliness in the villages and blocks, the District Officer also flagged 5 cleaning chariots. Which will go to the villages and make people aware of cleanliness.
