ISLAMABAD: It has been revealed that industries receive an additional Rs 225 billion annually in electricity bills.
According to the details, it was revealed that 225 billion rupees of additional electricity bills are collected every year from the industries, while the Power Minister Awais Laghari is unhappy with the policy of collecting additional electricity bills from the industries.

According to Power Division sources, industries are subsidizing 200 billion to protected consumers, industries are paying more than the actual cost of electricity.
Sources say the high power bills have made the industry uncompetitive and the government is considering removing cross-subsidies from the industry.
According to sources, a proposal to subsidize protected consumers through a social security program is being considered as high electricity bills are affecting domestic exports, cost recovery policy is shutting down industries.
