The Election Commission had written in its tweet that the claim that 15 lakh EVMs are missing is completely false. Regarding the video being shared to support the viral claim, the Electoral Commission further wrote in the tweet – The claim is misleading and false. The facts have been distorted. No EVM is missing. The Hon’ble Supreme Court has also dismissed the petition regarding missing EVMs.

The Electoral Commission had given information related to the viral message on its Twitter account. The Election Commission had written in the tweet – A message is being shared on WhatsApp that government employees cannot cast their vote through postal vote. This is completely wrong. Eligible officers deployed on election duty can cast their vote by postal ballot at the designated Voter Facilitation Centre.
