BUDGAM: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Akshay Labroo along with SSP Budgam, Al Tahir Gilani today conducted an extensive tour of prominent religious places of different faith to assess the arrangements for Shab Kadar and the upcoming festivals of Adi-ul-Fitr, in Isaki. and Navratri festivals in the district.
Among the prominent religious places visited by the DC include Ziarat Sharif Mehma, Magham, Markazi Imam Bara, Budgam, Guruwara Guru Nanak Charan Asthan Barawa and Shiv Temple in Pandit Shaikhpura Colony.
During the tour, the DC paid his respects at all the religious places and met with local delegates and local guardians and took a detailed assessment of the arrangements made for the upcoming festivals.
The DC has given directions to make smooth arrangements of drinking water facilities, uninterrupted power supply, functioning of street lights, pre-drives and sanitation at all the prominent religious places of different faith in their festivals across the district.
The concerned municipalities have been directed to increase cleaning operations in their areas focusing on religious places, roads, lanes, drains and markets besides regular lifting and proper disposal of garbage in all areas.
Instructions have been given to increase market inspections in all markets to ensure sale of quality food products and strict implementation of official rates in the district.
Among others, SDM Beerwah, ACR Budgam, CPO, Executive Engineers, SDPOs, EOs and other officials accompanied the DC.
