SRINAGAR: Ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, Additional Deputy Commissioner (DC), Srinagar Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Sunday visited the Hazratbal Shrine to take stock of the arrangements made by various Departments for the celebration of Eid-ul- Azha.
The DC was accompanied by senior officers from various Departments and the Administrator of the Wakf Board.
While reviewing the arrangements on the spot, the DC directed the officers concerned to ensure all facilities for the devotees especially due to water supply, electricity, health care, cleanliness and lighting in and around the shrine , apart from proper transport, parking facility, tender fire location and establishment of emergency control rooms.
He asked the management of the Wakaf Board to provide the required facilities at the shrine and on Eid-ul-Azha to offer Eid Nimaz.
The DC committed the Traffic Police Department to make an anti-fool traffic plan for the devotees, and also directed the SMC officials to ensure proper sanitation in and around the shrine building and repair all the street lights before Eid -ul-Azha.
He also emphasized that the Officers maintain close coordination to ensure that the religious event of Eid-ul-Azha is held smoothly at the Hazratbal Shrine.
The DC further directed the authorities to ensure such arrangements everywhere else across the City.
