In Dhanbad, late on Friday night, a youth riding a bike (JH 12 F 5346) was seriously injured after being hit by a container (UP 21 BN 3786) near the Chowk located in Topchanchi Bazaar of area Topchanchi police station. The seriously injured youth has been identified as Pankaj Chorsia of BPO Baghmara.

The container was at high speed
Pankaj Chorasia is said to live in Katras. According to the information received from the villagers regarding the incident, a riding youth was hit by a speeding container while crossing GT Road from Gomo-Topchanchi road. The container was going from Calcutta to Uttarakhand.
Treatment is ongoing at the hospital
The seriously injured youngster has extensive injuries to both his legs. With the help of villagers and the police, the injured youth was sent to the SNMMCH hospital in Dhanbad for treatment. After the incident, the police seized the container’s artillery and began an investigation. Police are questioning container driver Rahees Alam and assistant driver Bilal Pasa.
