Court summons Hamza Shehbaz in money laundering case on October 8

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Special Central Court, Lahore on Thursday ordered PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz to appear in person in a money laundering case against him, his father Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and others on Saturday (8 October 2022 ), TV channel 24NewsHD reported.

On the other hand, the court also published a two-page order from the last hearing in the money laundering case against members of the Sharif family.

The order stated that Hamza could not appear in court on the last date of the hearing due to back pain.

“In the application filed to exempt Hamza from appearing in court, his lawyer stated that doctors have advised his client four to six weeks of rest,” the order said.

However, the order said that the PML-N leader was granted a one-day exemption from appearing in court and was directed to appear in person on the next date of hearing.

Counsel for Amjad Pervaiz, lawyer for Prime Minister Shehbaz, argued for his client’s acquittal in the case.
