Congress manifesto released in the name of Nyapatra, 25 important promises to the people, these are the highlights Achi-News

New Delhi: Congress has prepared its manifesto for Lok Sabha Election 2024 and today it has presented the important election manifesto to the people called Nyay Patr (Congress Manifesto).

The Indian National Congress has released its manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The party has included five magistrates in its manifesto. Named Youth Justice, Women’s Justice, Farmers Justice, Labor Justice and Equal Justice. “Together we will dispel the darkness of this period of injustice and pave the way for a prosperous, just and harmonious future for the people of India,” said the Congress.

It was earlier said that the Congress manifesto this time will include 5 ‘Naya’ and 25 ‘Guarantees’ and the Congress has said that it will try to reach every voter in the country with the Ghar Ghar Guarantee mantra. Now the Congress has pulled the curtain on all the curiosity and released the manifesto of the Congress party under the name ‘Naya Patra’.

Highlights of Congress Manifesto for Lok Sabha Elections

  1. A socio-economic and caste census will be conducted throughout the country to study the castes and sub-castes and their socio-economic conditions. An affirmative action agenda will be strengthened based on data.
  2. SC, ST and OBC reservation limit will be increased to 50%.
  3. 10% reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in jobs and educational institutions will be implemented for all castes and communities without any discrimination.
  4. Recruitment within one year of all backlog of vacancies reserved for SC, ST and OBC.
  5. Congress will abolish the contract system of regular jobs in government and public sector enterprises.
  6. Institutional credit will be extended to SCs and STs for building houses, starting businesses and purchasing property.
  7. An authority will be constituted to monitor the distribution of government land and surplus land to the poor under the Land Ceiling Act.
  8. The scope of public procurement policy will be extended to award more public works contracts to contractors belonging to SC and ST communities.
  9. The scholarship amount will be doubled for OBC, SC and ST students especially for higher education. There will be number of scholarships to help SC and ST students to study abroad and do Ph.D. are doubled.
  10. A network of residential schools for poor, SC and ST students will be created and extended to all blocks.
  11. Under the National Social Assistance Programme, the central government’s contribution to pension for the elderly, widows and disabled persons ranges from Rs 200 to Rs 500 per month. This amount will be increased to Rs.1,000 per month.
  12. Cashless insurance of up to Rs 25 lakh will be adopted on the Rajasthan model for healthcare.
  13. The Congress party manifesto says that the party ensures freedom of choice of clothes, food, language and personal laws for minorities like all citizens. We encourage reforms in personal laws. Congress said that such reform should be with the participation and consent of the communities concerned.

Congress has promised BPA guarantee to farmers, Rs 1 lakh per annum to women, raising the minimum wage to Rs 400 under MNREGA. It remains to be seen how far it will take hold.
