Despite the ban, a case has been registered on the complaint of Seraikela DMO Jyoti Shankar Satpathy against the family members of AJSU Central General Secretary Harelal Mahato in the case of illegal mining, storage and transportation of stones. A complaint has been filed in the CJM court against Harelal’s wife Reena Mahato and two brothers Rudrapratap Mahato and Lal Mohan Mahato respectively. Harelal Mahato was also AJSU candidate from Ichagarh in assembly elections 2019. Stone Pahad lease settlement on 4.69 acres of land at Bhadudih village in Chandil zone was made in the name of M/s Harelal Construction, in which the three accused are involved in its board of directors. DC Ravi Shankar Shukla had received information that stones were being mined illegally.
