COAS Qamar Bajwa pays tribute to the sacrifices of air defense officers and soldiers of Pak Army.

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Headquarters Army Air Defense Command on Tuesday.

According to a press release issued by ISPR, he paid tribute to the supreme sacrifices of Pakistan Army Air Defense officers and soldiers and appreciated the training standard achieved.

He stressed the importance of air defense in today’s warfare and the need for continuous training and upgrading of modern air defense weapon systems in view of evolving threats.

Earlier, the COAS was received by the Chief of Army Air Defense Lt. Gen. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal.

COAS, French Ambassador willing to improve bilateral relations

French Ambassador to Pakistan Nicolas Gale met the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ on Tuesday. During the meeting, mutual interests including defense and security cooperation and the overall regional security situation were discussed.

The COAS said: “Pakistan values ​​its relations with France and we look forward to developing mutually beneficial multi-domain relations based on common interests.” Both reiterated their willingness to further develop bilateral relations in the fallout sectors.

Expressing his grief over the devastation caused by the floods in Pakistan, the dignitary expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims.

The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for regional stability and promised to play his part to further develop diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.

Ambassador of Oman calls COAS

Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Pakistan Dr Al Sheikh Mohammad Omar Ahmed Al Marhoon called on the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ. During the meeting, mutual interests, regional security situation and partnership in various fields were discussed.

The COAS said: “Pakistan values ​​its brotherly relations with the Gulf countries and Pakistan-Oman relations are close, warm, good and deep.” He also informed that the two countries have great potential for cooperation in defense and maritime security, which could become a binding factor for their strategic partnership.
