The viral clip begins with a street vendor pouring dosa batter on a noisy tawa. Once it’s evenly spread, he adds dollops of coconut chutney and stirs with a spatula. Now, the unexpected begins to take shape as he sprinkles chocolate pieces and cheese over the batter. The next part of the video shows the seller peeling a couple of bananas and then placing them on top of the chocolate covered batter. Then he uses the spatula and slices the fruit into small pieces. After mixing thoroughly, he rolls the dosa and cuts it into smaller portions. Plating, he pours chocolate syrup and puts a few cherries on top. This wonderful creation is ready to be enjoyed.
Sharing the video on Instagram, popular food vlogger Sukrit Jain wrote in the caption, “Dosa ka ye experiment aap try karoge?! (Would you try this experiment with a dosa?).”

While this sweet dosa did not sit well with many consumers, some had a different point of view. “All those making disgusting comments, this is actually a dish in Europe called a crêpe. Those people will eat the same meal in Europe if they travel there one day,” read one comment.
