Preparations for the Hindu New Year and Chaitra Navratri have begun in the state. On Tuesday, nine-day rituals of Puja and Havan will also begin in many Shaktipiths across the country. Similarly, preparations for Chaitra Navratri have begun at the famous Maa Vindhyavasini temple of Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh. Every year devotees from India and abroad burn the sacred thread here, but this time during Chaitra Navratri, an unknown person deposited the amount for burning the sacred thread in the name of the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. And the country’s interior minister, Amit Shah, made a record that became a topic of discussion in the city and the surrounding area.
People associated with the temple committee told Amar Ojala that the Chaitra Navratri festival starts from April 9, the temple committee is now making full preparations for it. The temple is attractively designed. All types of decorations are in the formative stages. A total of 1108 devotees have registered by depositing money till April 7 to burn the earth in this year’s Chaitra Navratri festival at the Maa Vindhyavasini temple. One of these anonymous devotees has registered for land burning in the name of state Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and state Home Minister Amit Shah.
Usually, Hasidic write their name and address before burning the ground, but this Hasidic did not provide any information about himself. The temple committee also issued the land holding number for registration. People associated with the committee say that usually every Navratri bonfires are burnt here in the name of VIPs. But for the first time, there are many discussions in and around the city about burning land in the name of a famous VIP of the country. The decoration of these three holdings can also be the center of attraction, to see what crowd of devotees can gather.
