The results of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 will be revealed today. Counting of votes for all 11 Lok Sabha seats of Chhattisgarh will begin at 8 am. Counting of EVM votes will start 30 minutes after the start of postal ballot counting. After EVM counting is complete, VVPAT slips are counted.

In the state elections there are 220 candidates, including 3 members of parliament, 1 former member of parliament, 1 minister in the government, 1 former CM, 3 former ministers, former MK. For the purpose of counting the votes, 94 counting halls were made in the country, in which 6562 officers and employees were appointed.
The election committee completed the preparations for counting the votes. Tripartite security arrangements were made in every counting place. The responsibility of the outer layer was transferred to the district police and other central forces.
To avoid disputes, the commission maintained a car-free zone up to 100 meters from the counting hall. Besides video in the counting hall, the control room and on the spot, the commission will also make a CCTV recording, so that it can be used as evidence.

To protect the workers and the people from the heat, coolers and especially fans that emit water spray were installed at the counting place in Raipur. The campus was covered with white flags.
Raipur BJP leader Lalit Jaising made 100 kg desi ghee laddus. After the results we will celebrate with Raipur voters with these laddus.
Pendals were set up at the counting site in Rhaegar to protect the agents, candidates and supporters from the heat.

72.8% of the voting took place in 3 stages in the country
A total of 72.8 percent of voting took place in the three phases in the country. Compared to the vote in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections (71.49%), this time there were 1.31 percent more votes. This time, the highest voter turnout was in Surguja seat with 78.78 percent and the lowest was in Bilaspur with 63.95 percent.
The fate of these candidates was decided by one million 50 lakh 40 thousand 444 voters. These include 75 lakh 15 thousand 102 men, 75 lakh 25 thousand 123 women and 219 voters of the third gender.

In the last 3 Lok Sabha elections, BJP has the upper hand in the state. BJP got 11 seats in 2 elections, while Congress got 2 seats in 1 election. BJP’s vote share increased each time. BJP got 8% more votes in 2009, 2014 and 10% in 2019.

After the calculation of each round is completed, the Assistant Elections Director will provide this information to the Election Officer and the District Election Officer. In the presence of observers, after each round, information on the votes received by all candidates will be given through loudspeakers. A copy of it will also be available to the candidate.
If a Lok Sabha constituency includes the Legislative Assembly of more than one district, then the District Electoral Officer of the district concerned shall send the return information and final result of that Legislative Assembly to the Returning Officer of the Lok Sabha constituency.
This officer will summarize the results of all assembly sessions in his area and the assembly sessions of other districts. For this purpose, a team of officers related to the accounting work of the finance department will record the votes at the counting place and then they will be checked by the observer. Finally, the results of the Lok Sabha elections will be announced.
