Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai presented the state’s development plan in the ninth meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog. Prime Minister Sai informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the country’s priorities and efforts being made for development. In the meeting, the Prime Minister said that Chhattisgarh will play a major role in developed India by 2047. At present, the country’s GSDP is Rs 5.05 crore, which is targeted to increase to Rs 10 crore in the next five years. To this end, work began on improvements and goals in various areas.

In the meeting, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, emphasizing the role of the youth in the development of the country, said that Chhattisgarh’s main emphasis is on preparing skilled human resources. In Chhattisgarh, education is linked to vocational skills and training. Its purpose is to give students skills that will prepare them for employment. The process of preparing ‘one nation, one student ID’ for every student in the country begins. In this way, all the important information related to the student’s educational experience will exist in digital form.

He shared plans for better availability of health services, sustainable development and preservation of the country’s culture and tradition. For economic empowerment, Chhattisgarh Super Foods will be produced and natural stores will be established. Processing and branding of local products will be promoted. Simultaneously with the expansion of the artificial intelligence and IT sector, emphasis will also be placed on the development of physical structures such as roads, buildings and digital facilities such as the Internet, cellular networks.

Chief Minister Sai appealed for cooperation from the Center for better power supply in rural and remote areas. He announced that the process of installing solar energy on the roofs was simplified and a plan was made to make 100 villages completely based on renewable energy. The survey for the installation of solar plants on the roof of government buildings has been completed, and these plants have been installed in most of the government buildings in Naya Raipur, from which electricity is supplied to the grid.

Prime Minister Sai said that drinking water will be provided to 96% of the houses in Chhattisgarh by March 2026. He said that India should not only strive for development by 2047 but also have a water-secure India 2047. For this he expressed hope for technical and financial cooperation from the central government. Apart from this, there was also a demand for further strengthening of the National Groundwater Training and Research Institute in Ripur as well as the establishment of a research center for rainwater conservation. According to him, with its establishment, rainwater can be properly stored and used in Chhattisgarh. This will reduce the water crisis and farmers will get more help.

He said that mobile medical units have been deployed to improve healthcare in tribal areas. Now health facilities are reaching even the remotest areas of Chhattisgarh. Health services are extended through these mobile units, which provide facilities to people in remote areas. On land and property issues, Sai said all land records are being digitized in Chhattisgarh. This technology will increase transparency and increase corruption. According to him, this reform will help resolve land disputes easily, which will encourage investments and development in the country.

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support and cooperation towards the priorities and needs of Chhattisgarh. He expressed hope that with the help of the central government, the state of Chhattisgarh would achieve its development goals and play an important role in realizing the vision of a developed India 2047.
