The new financial year 2024-25 started from today i.e. April 1st. The new year brought with it many changes. From today the price of a commercial gas cylinder has decreased by 32 rupees. At the same time, to buy electric vehicles, you will have to pay a higher price. Apart from this, SBI has also increased the annual debit card maintenance fee.

We tell you about 7 such changes, which will directly affect you…

1. Prices of commercial gas cylinders reduced by Rs.32
Oil marketing companies have reduced the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder by Rs 32 from today. The price in Delhi has now come down by Rs 30.50 to Rs 1764.50. Earlier it was available for Rs 1795. While in Kolkata the cylinder is now available at Rs 1879 Rs, down by Rs 32. Earlier it was priced at Rs 1911. In Mumbai, the price of a cylinder has come down by Rs 31.50 from Rs 1749 to Rs 1717.50. A cylinder is available for Rs 1930 in Chennai.

However, there is no change in the price of a 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder. It is available for ₹ 803 in Delhi, ₹ 829 in Kolkata, ₹ 802.50 in Mumbai and ₹ 818.50 in Chennai.

2. Aadhaar OTP authentication is required for logging into NPS-CRA
Two-factor authentication will now be required to log into the NPS, namely the National Pension System’s Central Record Keeping Agency (CRA). According to the new rule, all users will have to login through Aadhaar OTP in addition to password.

So far users have only logged in with a password. The Pension Funds Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) issued circulars regarding this change on February 20 and March 15.

3. You will have to pay more for SBI Debit Card
SBI has increased the annual maintenance fee associated with some debit cards by Rs 75. After this increase, the annual fee for Classic-Silver-Global-Contaclass debit card will be Rs 200 instead of Rs 125. GST will be added separately to this.

4. Fastag without KYC will be closed
If you have not updated your car’s Fastag KYC from the bank, it may be disabled from today. After that, the payment will not be made despite the Fastag balance. To activate it again, you will need to update KYC.

5. Buying electric vehicles is becoming expensive
Buying electric vehicles has become expensive as of today. This is because the government has discontinued the subsidy available under the Rapid Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles (FAME-II). Under this scheme, a subsidy of up to 22,500 rupees is given.

However, the government has launched the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) from today. This will remain in effect till July 31, 2024. Under the new scheme, a subsidy of up to Rs 10,000 will be available on electric two-wheelers. And a subsidy of up to Rs 25,000 will be available on three-wheelers.

Apart from that, Kia, Toyota and Tata have increased the prices of their vehicles from today. Different prices will apply according to different models and versions of vehicles. Tata recently said that due to the increase in the cost of inputs, it has decided to increase the prices.

6. New tax regime in default of payment of income tax
The government violated the new tax regime from today. In such a situation, if you have to pay tax under the old tax regime, then you will have to choose it. 7. He will not be able to invest in foreign ETFs
Now you will not be able to invest in those mutual fund programs that invest money in foreign ETFs, that is, exchange-traded funds. The stock market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has banned mutual funds from taking new investments from this date.

SEBI’s directive came as the maximum limit of investment in foreign ETFs was set at $1 billion (about $8,332 million). The investment in this has now reached close to this limit. In this regard, SEBI has also written a letter to the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), the governing body of mutual fund houses in the country.

No change in fuel and diesel prices
There was no change in fuel and diesel prices even today, that is on April 1 (Monday). Currently, petrol in Delhi is sold at Rs 94.72 per liter while diesel is sold at Rs 87.62 per litre. While in Mumbai, petrol is available at Rs 106.31 and diesel at Rs 94.27 per litre. There has been no change in gasoline and diesel prices for almost a year and a half.
