Lahore Capital Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana has received the second highest civilian award, Hilal-e-Imtiaz, in recognition of his public service on the occasion of Pakistan Day on Saturday.
Under Kamyana’s command, there was a 12% reduction in the crime ratio in Lahore in the last five months and there was a major development in the arrest of suspects due to his positive attitude.
The award was presented to CCPO Lahore by President Asif Ali Zardari at a Pakistan Day ceremony held at the President’s House earlier today.
Kamyana belongs to the 24th Regular Police Service and has served as Faisalabad and Sheikhupura districts regional police officer (RPO), Rawalpindi central police officer (CPO), district police office (DPO) Sialkot, Narowal, Okara, deputy inspector general (DIG) , senior superintendent of police (SSP) Anti-Terrorism Department and other key posts.
Besides, he also has experience of working as superintendent of police operations (SP) and other investigation and security wings.
He has decided to fight crime while serving as a CCPO. Besides progress in the improvement system, he also ensured the well-being of the families of various martyrs.
