Former director Sandeep Ghosh’s troubles in the case of rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital are not abating. CBI is now considering conducting a narco test of former manager Ghosh who was arrested in this case. An official said the CBI had filed a petition in the court in this regard on Friday. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in its application in the Salda court said that Sandeep Ghosh is not cooperating with the investigators. However, former headmistress Ghosh has already passed a polygraph test.
A CBI official said that during the narco analysis test, sodium pentothal was injected into Sam’s body. This drug takes the person into a hypnotic state, due to which his imagination becomes inactive.
The CBI also told the Salda court that the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) report termed some of his statements as “misleading.” It plans to take Ghosh to Gujarat for a narco-analysis test if the court allows it.
Apart from this, CBI also wants to conduct a polygraph test of the former in-charge of Thala police station, Abhijit Mandal. The CBI has also arrested Mandal along with former director Ghosh in this case.
According to an official, the CBI has also filed a petition in the court for a polygraph test of former police officer Abhijit Mandal. However, the court later extended the CBI custody of Ghosh and Mandal till September 25. The court scheduled the hearing again on Monday for a narco and polygraph test. CBI will have to present Ghosh and Mandal again in court on this day.
