New Delhi: electronic EVM voting machine in brief Before voting on these EVMs, there is no end of questions and debates after reading the votes Recently, such a debate has been fueled by the head of ‘X’ (former Twitter) Elon Musk Should use EVMs in voting around the world? The debate started in response to this question Elon Musk recently said on social media, EVM rigging is difficult, but not impossible! And around this remark of Mask, the EVM rigging controversy has got a new lease of life
After Musk’s comments, former Union Minister of India Rajeev Chandrasekhar came out in support of EVMs. On the other hand, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav have come out in support of Mask.
Last Saturday, Elon Musk wrote on the handle ‘X’, ‘We should stop using electronic voting machines.’ Hackable by human or Unlikely AI, but not impossible.’

In response to Musk’s post, BJP leader and former Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar wrote, ‘This is a very general comment. This means that humans will never be able to create secure digital hardware This is wrong.’
This is a sweeping generalization that implies that no one can build secure digital hardware. Incorrect. @elonmusk Opinion may apply to USA n other places – where they use regular computing platforms to build Internet-connected Voting machines.

Chandrasekhar then said, ‘Elon Musk’s opinion may be relevant in America and other countries, where internet-connected voting machines are used’.
According to Chandrasekhar, EVM can be tampered with only where the voting machines are connected through Bluetooth, WiFi, Internet. Or not Chandrasekhar writes, ‘Factory programmed and controlled EVMs cannot be tampered with. The way India did EVMs, everyone should do EVMs the same way We would be more than happy to give Alan a tutorial on this.’
Elon was not left behind “Anything can be hacked,” he said back, sticking to his comments in response to the BJP leader.
EVMs in India are a “black box,” and no one is allowed to scrutinize them.
Serious concerns are being raised about transparency in our electoral process.
