The High Court said that “Here 100 percent of the responsibility lies with the ruling government. If the safety of any citizen is in danger, then the government is responsible. If there is even a percentage of truth in the words of the victim’s lawyer, then it is extremely shameful.
What is a Sandashchili case?
Local women in Sandashkali alleged that local TMC leaders forcibly took over their land. Several women have also leveled serious allegations of rape against TMC leaders. The politics of Bengal came to a boil on this issue. In fact, the main accused in the Sandashkali case is TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh. Shahjahan Sheikh is also accused of assaulting the ED staff. BJP has also accused the state police of biased action. After immense pressure, the Bengal Police arrested the main accused Shah Jahan Sheikh on February 29. In the High Court, a demand was made to investigate the issue by the CBS. In such a situation, after the order of the High Court, Shah Jahan Sheikh was handed over to the CBI.
