1. Viewership record broken in IPL2024: More than 19.4 crore people watched the KKR-SRH match on OTT, leaving the PBKS-DC match behind.

The third match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) played between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday (23 March) broke all viewership records on OTT. At one point, more than 19.4 crore people were watching this match live at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata on Jio Cinema, the official OTT streaming platform of IPL2024.

Until now, never had so many people watched any cricket match live on OTT. Earlier this record was in the name of the match played between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals on Saturday itself, which was watched by around 16.7 crore people on Jio Cinema. Earlier on Friday, the opening match of IPL2024 was watched by 13.3 crore people.

2. Byju’s 30 closed learning centers: The remaining 262 learning centers will continue to run on a hybrid model, the company decided to reduce costs.

Edtech company Byju’s, which is facing a cash crunch, has closed 30 of its 292 learning centres. Byju’s parent company Think and Learn issued a statement saying that Byju’s has decided to close these learning centers as a cost-cutting measure.

The company said the remaining 262 learning centers will continue to run on the hybrid model. Earlier, Byju’s had closed all its other offices except its headquarters. Also, all employees were asked to work from home.

3. Amul will launch fresh milk products in America: Partnership with MMPA, last month PM Modi had asked to build world’s largest dairy.

The popular milk brand Amul plans to launch milk products in the US with the tagline ‘Taste of India’. Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which operates Amul, has partnered with Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA), America’s tenth largest dairy cooperative, for this.

The partnership was announced Thursday at the MMPA’s 108th Annual Meeting in Novi, Michigan. Jayen Mehta, Managing Director, GCMMF said, ‘I am happy to inform you that Amul will be launching its fresh milk products in the US.

The company is recalling 11,851 units of Baleno and 4,190 units of WagonR manufactured between July 30, 2019, and November 1, 2019.
