Chandigarh: There has been a new twist in the case of a female student committing suicide at Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar. The suicide note of a National Institute of Technology, Calicut professor has been found forcing him to quit the NIT last year.
Prof Prasad Krishna, director of NITC National Institute of Technology Calicut, accused by the victim in the suicide note.
The victim, 21-year-old Akhil S Dileep, is from National Institute of Technology, National Institute of Technology (NITC), a prestigious engineering college, and IIT has to crack the JEE exam to get admission here.
Akhil has alleged that he was forced to quit NITC. He failed a few exams after which he was asked to leave the company. Later, he joined Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar as a Bachelor of Design student. He was studying in his first year here.
Earlier, Congress leader from Punjab, Sukhpal Singh Khaira, had tweeted that the suicide in the LPU campus should be fully investigated as it belonged to AAP Rajya Sabha member Ashok Mittal.
Mittal is the Chancellor of LPU. Protesters alleged that this was the second suicide of a student on the LBU campus in the last 10 days.

Earlier, after the suicide note came out, there was a huge protest after the students assumed that the suicide could have been due to incidents on the college campus as there was no such possibility.
The suicide at LPU comes days after the Chandigarh University campus video leak scandal in which three culprits, including a student, were arrested.
