World Blood Donor Day was celebrated on Friday at SD College auditorium, Ambala. Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya participated in the program as the chief guest. He acknowledged the star women blood donors who came here from all over the state and the NGOs doing better work.

Former Home Minister Anil Vij said that donating blood is considered a great gift. Blood is very important in everyone’s life. We always take something from nature in one form or another. Vij also emphasized on creating a mobile application through which if a blood donor needs blood, he can use that application to find a blood bank or a donor. Such initiatives need to be taken in the age of technology.
