Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray took a dig at PM Modi for canceling UGC-NET. He asked if they would still discuss the exam.

These days there is a controversy in Israel regarding NEET forgeries. Meanwhile, the Union Education Ministry on Wednesday ordered the cancellation of UGC-NET after receiving information that the integrity of the exam had been compromised, and referred the matter to the CBI for investigation.

‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ is an initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which aims to remove the stress associated with examinations. The program, organized by the Ministry of Education, has been connecting students, parents and teachers for the past six years.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray posted on X. He said the steps taken by the center to protect itself would result in the loss of nearly nine lakh students. The efforts and money of these students have been wasted. Now these students will have to appear again for the exam. He took a dig at Prime Minister Modi on this matter. According to him, “What could be a greater irony than that the people who conduct the ‘Retirement Fe Charcha’ cannot conduct the test without creating irregularities.”

Aditya Thackeray said the Center should stop playing with the country’s future. He asked, “Is it possible to have a retirement discussion here with the youth whose exams have been cancelled?”

Amid growing protests against alleged irregularities in NEET, NCP (Sharad Pawar) leader Amul Kula on Thursday said the state-level entrance test for medical courses should be considered as an option. Member of Parliament Mashiror, who is a doctor by profession, said that the issue will be raised in parliament. He also said that the Narendra Modi government does not take moral responsibility for “large-scale irregularities”. “In future, it has to be seen if NEET is necessary and state-level entrance exams can be an option,” Kola said.
