Bijapur (Naiduniya News)’ On Monday, in broad daylight, 3 villagers were attacked by unknown people in a settlement across the river in Basaguda. Two villagers died on the spot in the attack, one was seriously injured. Hospital sources said the injured were being treated at the Basaguda Primary Health Center where the third villager Karam Ramesh also died. The names of the deceased villagers have been given as Chandriya Modiam (25), Ashok Bhandari (24) and Karam Ramesh (25). All the rural youth are Kalar Para residents of Basaguda.
Information has been received that two rural youths died on the spot, one rural youth died in hospital. Unknown assailants have attacked with sharp weapons and an axe. The bodies of the three villagers have been taken to Basaguda police station. According to the information, the postmortem of these villagers will be done in Avapalli.
The incident is said to have happened between 5-6pm. Sources said that while playing Holi near Bazaar Para, unidentified people attacked. Incident in Basaguda police station area. According to Bijapur SP Jitendra Yadav, three villagers were murdered on Pusbaka road in Basaguda. A detailed investigation is being carried out in connection with this incident. Naxalites attacked a DRG jawan on Sunday night
A day before the festival of Holi, a small action team of Naxalites had opened fire on a DRG jawan, Deepak Durgam, at Atal Awas Bijapur. The jawan was seriously injured. After treatment at the district hospital, the jawan was airlifted from Bijapur in the night in a helicopter. Referred to Raipur.
